Farewell to Audiologist – Hatten Howard
We say farewell to Hatten Howard in our Queens Drive clinic who leaves us on 18 April. Hatten has been with us for 3 years, and joined us from the US. We wish him well in his future endeavours.
Welcome to Audiologist – Aretha Mulder
Aretha is a NZ trained Audiologist and currently based in Wellington. She joins us from Bay Audiology in Porirua. Aretha has 5 years’ experience as a clinician. She has done outreach work in Samoa and has an under-graduate qualification in Speech-Language Therapy. Aretha will start with us on 6 May in a full-time role; she will compete a week in our Christchurch clinic then alternate between Lower Hutt and Christchurch in the 2 weeks following. From 27 May she will be at our Lower Hutt clinic full-time.
Welcome to Audiologist – Katrine Alchin
Katrine is also NZ trained and joins us from Hearing Excellence in Christchurch. She has 9 years’ clinical experience. She will be re-locating to Wellington with her family to take up the position. As well as private clinical work Katrine also has experience at the local Canterbury DHB. She has been appointed in a 0.8 FTE (32 hours) role. Katrine will start with us on 27 May and will spend the first 4 weeks at Milford Chambers, thereafter she will be at our Lower Hutt clinic.
Audiology at Queens Drive – Interim Support
There will be a period of transition with Hatten leaving the programme with our new Audiologists not due to begin until May. Joseph Dalrymple will continue to provide Audiology at our Queens Drive clinic and will be supported by staff from our Christchurch office.
