Did you know that you should change the microphone covers on your Cochlear N speech processor every three months?
Over time dust and debris can collect in your microphone covers affecting sound quality and ultimately affecting your hearing performance.
In order to keep you hearing at your absolute best, it’s important that you do this quick and easy task every three months.
- Hold the coil cable grip and firmly pull it straight out of the processor.
- Try not to tug on the flexible part of the coil cable and be careful not to twist it.
- Lift the microphone coverfrom the bottom edge then lift it up to remove.
- Fit the placement microphone cover onto the processor.
- Press down firmly with a finger on each end of the microphone cover until you feel a click.
- Push your coil cable into the processor until it clicks. Do not twist.
All done. You can buy new mic covers directly from SCIP.
You can either pop into clinic or you can text, phone, or email.
