Research Project: Parent/Guardian Experiences and Perspectives on Children’s Cochlear Implant Processes and Support Services

Are you a parent or guardian of a child that wears a cochlear implant?

If so, you may like to take part in the research project by Nicholas Jones, a student at the Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury who is completing a Masters of Audiology.

The research project ‘Parent/Guardian Experiences and Perspectives on Children’s Cochlear Implant Processes and Support Services’, aims to help inform decision-making about cochlear implantation and support for children and their parents/whānau by sharing their experiences and perspectives on the cochlear implant process and support services.

Nicholas is looking for parents/guardians of children (0 to 15 years) who have a cochlear implant(s).

Taking part will involve completing an online survey about your experiences and perspectives of the cochlear implant process and support services. The survey will take about 15 to 20 minutes to complete.

All participants can enter a prize draw for one of six $50 supermarket vouchers.

This study has been approved by the University of Canterbury’s Human Research Ethics Committee.
